Statement:

I set out to create a mirrored stained glass piece centered on the ongoing practice of accepting the passage of time. At its heart is the experience of watching oneself age, something at times, a struggle for me.
The two claw-like forms framing the mirror serve as symbols of time’s steady grasp. Yet rather than appearing harsh, they are rendered as intriguing and mysterious shapes, reminders that even in change, there is complexity and beauty.
